A Christmas Present

Today I got a lot of great gifts from Mommy and Daddy. Apparently that Santa Claus guy showed up too - I'm just glad I didn't have to sit on his lap again. Mommy and Daddy seemed a little too excited about this one t-shirt. They insisted that I post a picture of me wearing it...


They were also talking a lot about a baby. They showed me this picture. I gotta admit, I don't see a baby anywhere...

Spending time with friends!

We made Christmas cookies with special friends today. It was so much fun! We had a good time playing together too. When we were finished we gave each other presents we had wrapped for each other. Thanks for having us over today.

Making Special Gifts

I am having a great Christmas week! Mommy and daddy keep telling me Santa Claus is coming this week, if he is that big scary guy who make me sit on his lap, he can stay home. Mommy has kept me busy with fun activities this week. Here I am making special gifts for Daddy with my friends. I liked doing it all myself!

It snowed today... A LOT!

Today it snowed a whole lot. I begged mommy and daddy to go out in it from the time I woke to see it all! I was allowed to go out twice today, but they had to drag me back in. I was sooooo mad!

My friends threw me a birthday party today. We had Elmo plates and a blue cake. I was a little nervous with everyone watching me, but once I blew out the candles and got to taste it, I was in icing heaven!

Lights!

So mommy and daddy didn't think I was so helpful while putting up Christmas lights, but I had a good time. I would rather stretch them around the house, that tree is awful prickly!

O Christmas Tree!

We had so much fun today. I helped Daddy pick a Christmas tree. The weather was actually not so cold and we took our time studying each one in the field. When we finally all agreed on the same tree I "helped" Daddy cut it down. It is very very tall, and smells really good. I can't wait to put the lights on it.

Tomorrow we are going to decorate it before Miss Meg & Mr Brian come with Rebecca for dinner. I can't wait!

Opening Presents on My 2nd Birthday!

Thank you Grandma and Grandpa! I love my farm! The tractor is my favorite and I love to carry the barn around. I miss you and say goodnight to your picture every night.

Dear Auntie Jen,

Thank you so much for my birthday presents. Here I am playing with Scout. He sings to me and says my name, I love him very much. Puppies are my favorite! The letters game you sent looks just like my Daddy's computer keyboard so I know what to do with that! Mommy was surprised I know the letter R, W, U, S, and T.

It snowed on my birthday!

Mommy had me put on a heavy snowsuit and my favorite boots. When we went outside, the snow was cold even with my snowsuit on. Mommy, Daddy, and I built a snowman.

Mommy tried to start a snowball fight, but my heart wasn't in it.

Mommy found some pictures of me today. I liked Santa just as much last year, as I do this year!

Went to see Santa on Saturday

Daddy got me dressed and we went to see Santa. What is so special about that big scary man?! I was not at all interested, although he did make me laugh one time. I really like the Candy Cane the best. Mommy never lets me have those kind of treats!

Meeting my new cousin

Today I got to see a baby! He is my new cousin Skyler. He is so tiny, but really loud. It surprised me I was not sure what to make of him. I love babies anyway so I poked him a few times. He is really cute no matter what.

I got to see Grandma Newlin's chickens and kitty cats today. Daddy captured my conversation with the chicken. She was so pretty! Mommy and I are trying to convince Daddy to let us get 2 or 3. They are so much better than my stuffed animals. I wonder if mommy would let me sleep with them too?!

My Barnyard!

Mommy often asks me if I was "born in a barn" because I leave the door open a lot (although I am pretty sure she knows where I was born). No I was not born in a barn, but I sleep with a lot of my favorite furry friends. They keep me company on long night sleeps and naptime. There isn't much space for anyone else, but I am sure I could fit a few more as I adopt them. I know each one of them by name and if any of them are missing I call for them until they appear...no matter how looooooong that takes.

Musical Me!

I had so much fun yesterday, Aunt Cheryl had a piano at her house! I love to play the piano. Mommy sat down with me and played Christmas songs. I can't wait to get one of my own, but mommy says it will be a while so I guess I am gonna have to get mommy to Drive me to practice with Benny and David.

Mommy, Daddy, and I colored a picture that "ma and popop" gave me when they came to visit. Mommy talked about Pilgrims and indians whatever they are. I just like using the crayons!

I can't wait to play with my cousins and eat later today. Mommy says we are going to Cheryl and Peters house. It is always fun there!

Dear Great Grandma,

Thank you so much for the mail and Thanksgiving money! One of my favorite things to get mail. I watch mommy from the window everyday as she walks out to check for the mail. It was exciting to get my own mail. Another fun game is to put money in my piggy bank. Mommy gave me 5 dollar coins instead of paper and it was so much fun! Mommy says we are supposed to give some of it to Jesus on Sunday and keep the rest for a special day. So thank you very very much. I love you and hope to visit you soon.

Grandma and Grandpap Newling came to visit yesterday! I decided to get over my fear of Grandpap's hairy face and have a good time with him!

I had the best time playing with Grandpap and dancing with Grandma. I try really hard to share my bike with others. I sure am glad mommy and daddy bought a house with a race track in it.

Grandpap played for me in my bedroom for an hour. Linoln logs are so much more fun with someone who actually knows how to use them!

Daddy taught me to Tango a long time ago but I like to do it myself. I trail across the room, and sometimes just like to bippity bob. Won't you dance with me?

My Favorite Things

Some of my favorite things these days:

Food: Popcorn, and eggs! I would eat these everday if I could convince mommy. I will always love Lima Beans too.

TV: SuperWhy! I have figured out how to turn on the TV. Mommy does not like it too much but I really like SuperWhy.

Color: Red like Elmo, and Purple

People: Daddy, Madden, Fiona the puppy

Place to go: The grocery store because I like to ride in the shopping cart! I love to ride in the car too!

I also love trucks, tractors, cats, dogs, Babies make me giggle, and music. I love to dance and boogie.

Some things I don't like to much right now:

Babies came to play!

My friends came to play today. There was a little boy about my age, but he was not as interesting as the little baby girl. My mommy said she was born 4 months ago and I should be gentle. I begged mommy to hold her, and when I did I giggled at her. It made her smile. I was so sad when she left, I guess I should have paid more attention to my little play friend but I just couldn't stop looking and tickling the little baby. I cried when she left. I hope they come back soon.

Oh yeah and it has been a while since I got my hands on a bottle. I REALLY wish mommy would bring those back. Milk tastes so much better in that than a cup!

Last Saturday my Aunts, Uncle, & Cousins came to play. We had a great time. Aunt Melissa really needs a bigger lap, and those girls were awful wiggly. I just wanted to read my book. It was a fun day.
